More About Us

FCFC is a volunteer-led organization made up of members of the law enforcement community who are dedicated to supporting the youth of Fauquier County. Its volunteers include sheriff’s deputies, police officers, state troopers, and social workers from the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, the Warrenton Police Department, the Virginia State Police, and the Fauquier County Department of Social Services.

The organization’s signature program, Shop-With-A-Cop, helps make the holiday season brighter for children and teens in Fauquier County who have been impacted by crime, abuse, or other difficult circumstances involving law enforcement. Through fundraisers and private donations, FCFC volunteers provide these young people with the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts alongside local law enforcement officers, creating both meaningful support and lasting memories.

FCFC also hosts its Cast With a Cop event, which gives children the chance to spend a day outdoors learning about fishing and environmental stewardship. During the program, participants receive lessons in pond ecology, while representatives from the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources explain the importance of regulations in protecting Virginia’s natural resources. Volunteer deputies provide each child with a brand-new fishing rod and a tackle box filled with supplies, then spend the day helping them bait hooks, practice casting, land fish, and enjoy fishing side by side with law enforcement officers. 

Every donation, big or small, helps build a lasting memory in a child in our community.
