Madison Choral Society

The mission of the Madison Choral Society is to promote brotherhood and build community by providing free public access to quality musical concerts. Founded in 1986, the Madison Choral Society is pleased to be celebrating their 37th season. The group of approximately 30 singers comes from Madison, Greene, Culpeper and Orange counties.  Our director this season is Ethan Wagner, locally recognized as a performance cellist and conductor, whose graduate study includes Peabody Conservatory.

More About Us

Members of the Madison Choral Society perform concerts  at Christmas and in the Spring.  One concert wach season is performed at Mt. Carmal Church in Haywood, Virginia, and a second one is performed at a church on Orange, Virginia.  Expenses for the organization's two yearly concerts include fees for the director, rehearsal accompanist, rehearsal space, musical scores and performance instrumentalists.  All expenses are funded by members' dues, auience donations, and local business sponsorships.  Donations received through Give Local Piedmont this year will allow the opportunity to perform major works which can include a larger orchestra and thereby enhance the group's artistic offering to the community.  Thank you very much for your support.
