ABOUT US

Our History

Originally as two departments (Marshall Volunteer Fire Department founded in 1942 and Marshall Volunteer Rescue Squad founded 1966), we are now the Marshall Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department (inc. 2016). We are a combination volunteer/career department to ensure we can meet the needs of the community at any hour. Marshall Volunteer Fire & Rescue is known as Company 3 within the Fauquier County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.  We work hard to be a resource for our community.

Services We Provide

We proudly protect approximately 10,000 people living in an area of 100 square miles by providing Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services to the town of Marshall and surrounding areas in Fauquier County. From structure fires, medical emergencies, car crashes and vehicle fires, our department provides a full range of emergency services to our community. 

We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters and members like you. Thank you for your time and donations that make our mission to help those in need possible! The Marshall Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department frequently puts on events to bring the community together as well as fund raise for the department's operational costs.
