CCLC serves over one hundred children yearly in its three primary areas of service: a preschool for children from six weeks to five years of age, a year-long afterschool activity club for elementary-aged students, and a season-long series of summer programs for children from infant through twelve years of age. CCLC provides support to a socio-economically diverse population, with roughly 60% of the students receiving financial assistance. e use the nationally renowned Creative Curriculum pedagogy for educating our children. We also offer an exposure to the natural world - even at the earliest age - through our Children-in-Nature program. Our afterschool program allows children to be bused from local public and private schools to CCLC and participate in a program that balances free play, quiet time, and academic enrichment. Our summer program offers weekly sessions that involve a rich variety of arts and crafts, field trips, outside enrichment, and other activities.

As the largest and oldest childcare center in Rappahannock, CCLC strives to serve every family that seeks high quality childcare in a loving environment.
We are the only childcare center in the area accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. NAEYC is the gold standard for high-quality early childhood education!
"I could not have picked a better learning environment for my daughter!
In the months that she has been there, she has truly blossomed! The front office staff and teachers are BEYOND AMAZING! They truly love and get to know each individual child. I know she is in good hands every day that I drop her off. The staff is very open to the parents as well. The school's accolades are impressive and they live up to them. I couldn't have asked for a more loving, nurturing, and educational environment for my daughter. CCLC isn't just a daycare; it is a SCHOOL. The kids think they are playing but they are actually learning skills to help them for the future.
If you are looking for a school for your child, I encourage you to come look and take a tour of CCLC. I promise you won't be disappointed.
