We play competitive travel baseball and focus on teaching the kids skills needed to be successful in baseball and in life. Our players, coaches, and their families are committed to upholding the highest standards of character and competition both on and off the field. In addition to participating in baseball tournaments around the state, the Ballers also contribute to our local community through participation in various charitable activities sponsored by organizations such as Operation Christmas Child, Hope for Appalachia, and Social Services. Our goal is to cultivate a sense responsibility and leadership in our players that extends well beyond the baseball field.

Testimonials

"Over the past three years, I have been blessed to be around a team of coaches and young men who strive to walk in the same image our Lord showed us during His time here on earth. All things are done to glorify the Father. This group of young men shows kindness, humility, and compassion while at the same time a desire to always perform their best both on and off the field. I could not be more honored and rewarded helping to coach the Blue Ridge Ballers. 'Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.' Philippians 2:3" --Coach John Jenkins

"This is my son's third year playing with the Blue Ridge Ballers. Our family has been so blessed by the relationships we have formed with the other Baller families, and my son has learned so much about life and baseball from the excellent coaching staff. In addition to perfecting the players' game, the coaches also care about developing the character of the young men on the team by encouraging participation in church and community projects. Our family is thankful to be part of this special organization!" --Jennifer Jenkins

"Playing for the Ballers is always joyful for me. All the players on the Ballers are close friends, and they are always raising spirits if they're low. Playing for the Ballers has been one of my favorite hobbies to do for the past three years." --Caleb Jenkins, #3

"I like being a Baller sister because I get to go to different places and hang out with my friends. It is like my second family!" --Tenley Knight, age 8, Ballers sister

"This team has not only helped me be a better baseball player (which it definitely has), but it has also helped me be a better person in other areas as well. This team is very encouraging when you make a mistake. You'll hear, 'Come on! You got it! You'll get it next time,' or, 'Let's go!' coming from various people around you. Not only are your teammates very encouraging, but so are your coaches. They're always finding ways to make you better.
"We love and fear God, and we know that preaching the Gospel is the most important thing. We thank Him every practice by saying the Lord's Prayer.
"Another reason I love this team is because we are not only a team. If you think we are a team that just gets together once a week and forgets about each other after that, you are wrong. Not only are we a team, but we are a close group of friends." --Evan Taylor, #34

"I have so much fun playing with the Ballers! We work hard and learn things together. Being part of this team teaches me about teamwork, responsibility, and communication. We are a family. I always have someone backing me up both on and off the field. --Mason Ward, #21

"Our baseball team is a Godly team. The coaches and players not only teach me how to be good in baseball but to be a good person, too." --Thomas Knight, #12

"I'm blessed and thankful for the opportunity to coach the Ballers! I'm surrounded by players that love the game and love to be coached and coaches that enjoy each other and appreciate the opportunity we have to guide young men in ways beyond the baseball field. Lastly, we're supported by amazing parents who are dedicated, caring, and gracious! I couldn't ask for a better youth experience for my son and our family!" --Coach Travis Knight

"I've watched my brother play with the Ballers for the last three years. Now that I'm in college, I really appreciate being a part of the Ballers family. I look forward to games that are near me and will travel to see this team play together. The team and all the families are always so thoughtful and caring. Even from a distance, I'm very proud to be a Baller sister." --Meghan Ward, sophomore at VCU

"My brother, Caleb, has been playing on the Blue Ridge Ballers team for a while now, and I can tell that he really loves playing baseball with all his friends on the team. He's made so many new friends through the Ballers team. All the practice and effort he's put into the team have also really helped him improve his baseball skills. I know that Caleb also appreciates everything that his coaches have taught him about baseball and about life. He's learned so much these past few years, from how to pitch to giving God the praise and glory for everything. I'm so proud and happy for him, and I hope he has another great season with the Ballers family and many more to come." --Kylie Jenkins, Ballers sister
