The Fauquier Community Action Committee - Head Start Program, has been serving Fauquier County's most vulnerable children for over 50 years. It has been our mission to provide a quality and comprehensive Head Start program for the children and families that we serve.

FCAC Head Start staff promotes school readiness by enhancing social and cognitive development of children. This is accomplished through providing a variety of experiences in the following domains: approaches to learning, social and emotional development, language and literacy, mathematics development, scientific reasoning, and perceptual, motor and physical development. Children who attend the FCAC Head Start program receive screenings in hearing, vision, speech and language, cognitive and social emotional development, and dental. Children also receive breakfast, lunch, and snack while in attendance. Additionally, parents are supported while identifying their own strength, needs and interests and offered opportunities for growth such as training's, workshops, and being involved in the program through leadership roles in parent center meetings and Policy Council.
