$30,000 Goal

Since its establishment in 2019, the Emergency Services Canteen Unit has served as a lifeline for First Responders and individuals affected by emergencies in Culpeper, Fauquier, Rappahannock, and neighboring areas. Our mission is to deliver essential meals, hydration, and comfort during prolonged incidents, often lasting 12 hours or more. This 24/7/365 service is available without discrimination, underscoring our commitment to the health, well-being, and resilience of the community. We often receive feedback from our First Responders stating that they are able to keep going because of the services that we provide.

Under the leadership of Pastor Danielle Dean and Dave Cooper, the Canteen Unit is effectively managed with oversight from The Bridge Community Church. Our goal is to enhance the capacity of the Emergency Services Canteen Unit to meet the growing needs of First Responders and the community. The program currently includes a refurbished ambulance equipped for meal preparation and accommodating up to six volunteers, an enclosed trailer transporting essential supplies like cooling fans, heaters, and generators, a truck for towing the trailer, carrying equipment, and resupplying items, portable bathrooms for on-scene use by First Responders, and a dedicated volunteer team delivering critical support. This infrastructure ensures we can provide timely, effective aid during emergencies, benefiting both First Responders and individuals affected by the incident.
