Empowering Culpeper

For more than 20 years, Empowering Culpeper has been a fully volunteer‑run program dedicated to one simple belief: no neighbor should go without nutritious food or community support.

Every month, our team of volunteers comes together to serve approximately 200 families, representing nearly 760 individuals. Our distributions offer fresh produce, meats, pantry staples, and connections to community resources.

We believe in dignity, compassion, and connection. Food insecurity rarely exists on its own. Families facing hunger are often navigating challenges with employment, housing, healthcare, transportation, or childcare. That’s why we’ve built strong partnerships—so that when someone comes for food, they can also find pathways to stability, support, and hope.

Our mission guides every decision we make: Helping our neighbors thrive by providing access to nutritious food and to community programs through partnerships.
