Fauquier Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom, Resilience, Local History, And Community!
The all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization invites your support in bringing the 6th Annual Fauquier County Juneteenth Celebration to life. This year's celebration honors the 10,455 enslaved men, women, and children who lived and labored in Fauquier County in 1860 —before Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation changed the course of history. These great families went on to shape this county in profound and lasting ways, and their legacy deserves to be remembered, celebrated and carried forward. In honor of those families, our fundraising goal is $10,455 – Each dollar is an act of acknowledgment. Your donations help to keep history alive, uplift community voices, and create a meaningful experience for all who attend.
This year's two-day celebration brings community together to honor Fauquier County's African American heritage, embrace our shared history, and pass the lessons of freedom and equality on to the next generation.
