Hospice Support of Fauquier County is a nonprofit organization which provides compassionate non-medical supportive care to people with chronic, life threatening or terminal illness. Our trained volunteers support the individual and their families by providing respite for caregivers; by bringing supplies or running an occasional errand; and simply being a friendly visitor. We continue to support the family members with bereavement counseling if requested. We collect donated durable medical equipment from community members for our Loan Closet program.
Our vision is be an essential player in the non-medical hospice care and advanced disease management support of patients in our region. Founded in 1981, Hospice Support of Fauquier County is a nonprofit, volunteer organization. We work collaboratively with attending physician's, medical hospices, clergy and other support agencies in order to provide a continuum of patient care. Our services are not restricted by age, medical treatment, finances or time which can be engaged with the patient and the family.
