Jewell Tone's Center for the Arts was founded in 2023 with the goal of providing artistic experiences for underserved children and youth, as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Arts for All program is a partnership with The Arc of NCV to encourage artistic expression from individuals who often find it difficult to express themselves through words or in other traditional ways. Through visual art and music, artists from The Arc of NCV let their art speak for them to reach the hearts of patrons touched by their expressiveness and maturity.
Arts for All also offers free or low-cost group music and visual art lessons to children from underserved communities, and instruments to schools with students possessing a passion for making music but unable to bear the cost of their instruments. For students who demonstrate exceptional ability, strong commitment and a deep interest in the arts, the programs offers advanced group and individual lessons in music and visual arts, designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate their creative potential.
Jewell Tone's Center for the Arts is excited to partner with the Culpeper Community Band to provide a place for students of all ages and abilities in our community to participate with other instrumental musicians and create music together. The Culpeper Community Band, formerly Piedmont Community Band, emphasizes that it is never too late to learn and instrument...or play in a concert band. The Band allows musicians who have not picked up their instrument in years to play in a nonjudgmental, no-pressure environment. The Band emphasizes the joy of playing an instrument with others and reignites the excitement of playing for family, neighbors and friends in the community.
Your donation to Give Local Piedmont funds these artistic experiences. Gifts of all denominations make a difference and help our community's artists realize their potential while discovering...or re-discovering...the joy of creating artistic treasures for themselves and others.
