John Jackson Piedmont Blues  Festival

The John Jackson Piedmont Blues Festival is  worthwhile in many ways. It fostered a better understanding of the humanities by introducing our community to a genre of music and a history of Rappahannock heritage that has largely been forgotten. 

In 2019, our initial application aimed for a crowd of 250-500 people and we had an attendance of 750+. The local newspaper covered the event in its entirety. Positive feedback from the public, musicians, county officials, people that provided the infrastructure, and Eldon Farm’s corporate headquarters gave us the confidence to make this an annual event.
