More About Us

Windmore Foundation for the Arts has been providing community arts for over 30 years in Northern Piedmont.

Artists of Windmore - Classes are planned as soon as we can safely hold them. One of our first will be led by artist local artist Paula Drake who will teach painting on wood. Each participant will complete a painting on a wooden tray.

Pen-to-Paper Literary Arts Program - The writers group meets monthly and provides classes on publishing, workshops for memoir writing, and special events. All writers are welcome regardless of their level of experience. They meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the County Library Conference Room at 10AM to noon and 5PM to 7PM.

Windmore's Piedmont Community Band is the only band in Culpeper County. All community members who play a musical instrument are welcome to practice with the band and perform at various places in our community. They practice on Sunday nights from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Culpeper Baptist Church. See for more information or call 540-547-4333.

StageWorks Theater Program - StageWorks provides experiences on the stage and behind the scenes for all ages. Theatrical and musical productions offer opportunities for members interested in performing, working backstage, designing and constructing sets, making costumes, applying make-up, and working with lights and sound equipment. The StageWorks group is ready to bring the interactive mystery Emerald Heist to the community as soon as they can.

Summer Musical Theater Camp - The camp is offered for children ages 5 to 7 for a one-week experience and for children 8 to 17 for a two-week camp. The participants will learn all aspects of theater presentation from auditioning to the performance of a musical play. Visit our website or call 540-547-4333.

Windmore Kids Christmas Musical - Last December, Windmore Kids presented The First Leon, Uncovering the True Meaning of Christmas to enthusiastic crowds. While rehearsing, the group learned acting, singing, choreography, blocking, as well as creating costumes and scenery. This year, the planned musical is Yes, Virginia.
