No Empty Plates: Bring Hope Home to Our Neighbors

Did you know that food insecurity touches every corner of our beautiful region? It affects 11.2% of neighbors in Rappahannock, 10% in Culpeper, 9.3% in Fauquier, 10.3% in Madison, and 11.9% in Orange. These aren't just numbers; they are families, children, and seniors in our own backyard. 

How Your Gift Changes Lives

At the St. Lucy Food Project, we believe that feeding the body is the first step in nourishing the soul. Since 2014, we have stood in the gap for our most vulnerable neighbors, regardless of their faith or background.

Last year alone, we saw a 24% spike in hunger. To meet the soaring need in our community, we operate three dedicated food pantries in Sterling, Front Royal, and Alexandria, and a Distribution Center in Manassas, while simultaneously fueling a network of over 48 partner agencies across the region.  Last year, we worked tirelessly to fulfill 85,665 requests for assistance, moving more than 2.073 million pounds of food to our neighbors in crisis.
