HUNGER IS A BARRIER TO LEARNING
At Laurel Ridge Community College, we are committed 
to eliminating barriers so our students can succeed.

Since most of our graduates live and work in the area, gifts made to the Laurel Ridge Community College Foundation truly are an investment in our community. 

This year, funds raised through Give Local Piedmont will go to the Laurel Ridge Campus Food Pantry to help fight food insecurity among our students.

Laurel Ridge Food Pantry Impact (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025): 

• 505 visits
• 90+ clients 
• 3,156 pounds of food distributed 

Since last fall, the college has seen a significant increase in visits to our food pantry, and the generosity of private donors keeps our food pantry stocked. Your gift ensures that all students and their families have access to nutritious meals so they can focus on their education and thrive.
