This year, we are celebrating 10 years of service to older adults of Rappahannock County. With your help, we can continue to support seniors of all backgrounds and economic means to age comfortably, safely, and independently in a caring community.

Rapp at Home

Rapp at Home was formed in 2015 based on the Village Model of neighbors helping neighbors. We are one of the few non-fee, rural-based Villages. We are funded entirely through donations and grants.

After ten years in operation, we have grown from a small group of 50 Friends (members) to now serving 687 Friends, representing 20% of Rappahannock County's senior population. As a majority volunteer organization, we have become an essential resource, dedicated to building a strong community, advocating for senior needs, and promoting healthy aging. Services, resources, and programs include robust transportation options, in-home care and caregiver support, free home safety devices (and free installation), meal, grocery, and prescription delivery, social engagement opportunities, diverse fun and educational activities, and more.

And, as we have from the beginning, we closely collaborate with other regional non-profits to avoid service duplication and to make the best use of resources to benefit the entire community. By providing essential services and fostering a supportive community, we're empowering older adults of all backgrounds and economic means to live life to the fullest.
