2025 Farm Tour Give Local Piedmont

The Rappahannock County Farm Tour is a free, two-day, self-guided tour offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our working farms. The mission of the Rappahannock County Farm Tour is to present an unforgettable, educational and enriching experience of Rappahannock County's (Agri)Culture.

The majority of your donations goes directly to advertising and promoting the Farm Tour each year. 

Each year we have around 15 venues on the tour, with a wide range of farms and experiences - from beekeeping to organic vegetable farms and orchards, not to mention goats, chickens, and cows, breweries and wineries, local artisans selling their wares, and food trucks sourcing from our local farms. The event draws anywhere from 2000 - 3000 farm visitors each year, many from Rappahannock and neighboring counties, as well as others coming from Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland to experience the event.

Facilitating the Rappahannock Farmers Market

In addition to hosting the annual Farm Tour, our 501(c)(3) organization has assumed operational responsibility for the Rappahannock Farmers Market, further strengthening our commitment to local food systems and community well-being. The market addresses food access challenges within Rappahannock County, a designated food desert, by accepting SNAP benefits, participating in the Fresh Match program, and administering the POP Bucks initiative in partnership with Rappahannock County Public Schools. These programs ensure that low-income residents and students have access to fresh, nutritious, locally sourced products.
