Over 550 students in Fauquier County need food support when the school day ends. While school breakfast and lunch are consistent and reliable, families often struggle to provide this same level of consistency on weekends and during school breaks. When the barrier of hunger is removed, students are better equipped to lead healthier lives both inside and outside the classroom. Will you join us and help feed a child in need?
The Weekend Power Pack program ended the 2023-2024 school year feeding over 550 students every week, including all weekends and school holidays. As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 school year, our goal of raising $50,000 will ensure we can meet the needs of these students yet again. Since 2014, Fauquier FISH's Weekend Power Pack program has partnered with Fauquier County Public Schools to help feed children in need. School staff identify students in need of food support, and FISH volunteers pack and deliver food to schools across Fauquier County each week. Deliveries include food for weekends and all school holidays/breaks.
