9:57 Project

A nonprofit organization

The 9:57 Project is a nonprofit organization that is mobilizing Veterans to inspire young people. It was a 9:57 AM on September 11, 2001, that the brave passengers and crew of Flight 93 stood up against terrorism, demonstrating resilience, courage, and teamwork in the face of adversity. That moment was when the War on Terror began, preventing further loss of life and preserving the US Capitol Building.

Since 2014, we have introduced a wide variety of successful Veteran-led programs that prepare young people to lead in their communities, inspired by the story of Flight 93 and the example set by our men and women in uniform. From experiential learning trips to the Flight 93 National Memorial with the families of Flight 93 to an after-school program that preserves Veteran stories for the Library of Congress to an immersive summer program at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, we continue to find ways to make a positive impact.

Join us in our mission to empower local service men and women to lead our region's youth!
