Over 570 students in Fauquier County need food support when the school day ends. While school breakfast and lunch are consistent and reliable, families often struggle to provide this same level of consistency on weekends and during school breaks. When the barrier of hunger is removed, students are better equipped to lead healthier lives both inside and outside the classroom.
Food costs for the WPP program are over $100,000 a year. Funding is sourced through a mixture of grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations. Recurring donations are the lifeblood of this program and allow us to ensure no child in Fauquier goes hungry.

Since 2014, Fauquier FISH's Weekend Power Pack program has partnered with Fauquier County Public Schools. School staff identify students in need of food support, and FISH volunteers pack and deliver food to schools across the county. Deliveries include food for weekends, school holidays, and summer breaks.
